Sri Lanka Deutscher Botschafter entgeht Anschlag

…The Sri Lankan military has taken over nearly all of Batticaloa’s important public buildings. The Batticaloa municipal office, the town hall, its employees quarters, the public library and the Weber memorial sports grounds are all being occupied…(9.September 1997)

    ***************
May be the disreputable GoSL didn’t inform the other side to profit from this internationally

May be the LTTE-people is even more stupid than I thought

May be the nice Karuna is playing his own game

Any East Coast visitor and all residents know the obvious risks.
If you travel in an air force chopper, landing in a high security zone, in a football field only used by the military: You may be seen as a legitimate target.
The fact that our own, western ambassadors collaborate in such ignorant way speaks for the level of their local knowledge and intelligence.
It is an embarrassment to realize the they are used as pawns in a strategic game on the East Coast.
The poor Eastern population is the real looser. As usual.

Welcome back to the safe city, Colombo!
And all of your safe houses and embassies.
The media presents you a hero’s welcome after your East Coast trauma, Dear Ambassadors!
You are so brave; we are proud of you.
You went that far out of the city just to inspect the non existing Tsunami help and this had to happen to you.
Will you be repatriated following your shocking experience?

Well guess who orchestrated the visit and talked the othe embassadors into going along?Oh well, the U.S. embassador. Here we go again,a Gulf of Tonkin in the making.Does the U.S. Embassador read his own website about danger spots?Jackson.

Did they walk into a deliberate or an accidental propaganda exercise?
If so; who set it up, who is to blame and who should take the credit or wrap?
Whatever, this is nothing but daily life on the East Coast - further up North of Arugam Bay.
