April is known to be the hottest month in Sri Lanka.
The weather at Arugam Bay is much more moderate, but DEMIRA (German Mine Clearer’s) have been impressed with an innovative, cheap method of roof insulation.
When they were active in the Bay, DEMIRA staff documented this Eco-friendly idea:

This year, for a change, the annual event has received certain global coverage.
NGO’s are said to be ‘active’.
