No real reports of personal danger, but communications are interrupted. No Internet office open in Aragum Bay anymore. Locals feel nervous about the new office in PottuVille town. Many houses under water due to heavy rain up counrty coming down the rivers. Bridge building not under way yet. Managed to contact two surfing pals, Kali and Riffai on their mob phones today.

Indeed. I certainly wish that Peace will come to Sri Lanka, and specially to the East and North. If and when this happens, everything else will follow. The island has so much to offer, Arugam Bay will do very well. But when? Sad to read that the direct news flow is interrupted; just when we need it most maybe. A Peaceful New Year!
